The childcare centre garden almost seemed like a desert when we arrived on a cold winter morning. Leaves and dust blowing around the yard made it look like a scene out of Tombstone. However, that was all about to change.
Armed with my usual pencils, sketch pad and tape measure, the centre management were quick to point out that their back yard lacked something of their personality. After some discussion, it would seem that some colour was required and I knew exactly where we were heading with this particular project.
When work commenced around a week later, we could get straight in and level of the area for the paving. Colour blocks and concrete and a few icons were the focus for the connecting pathway.
All in all, management were delighted to have put their stamp in their modest garden and I’m pretty sure there will be an array of colours to compliment the pathway once summer arrives.
